Oscar W. Flarity LINDEN - Services for Oscar W. Flarity, 86, of Linden, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, January 1, 2011, at Shiloh United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Jackie Herring officiating. Interment will be in Shiloh Cemetery. Arrangements are by Reeder-Davis-Schindler Funeral Home. Mr. Flarity died Tuesday, December 28, 2010, at an Atlanta hospital. Born November 22, 1924, in Vivian, La., he served in the U.S. Army during World War II, was employed with East Texas Motor Freight for 35 years and was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Ruia Flarity; son, Carl Flarity; daughters, Marty Simonds, Susan Vith and Joy Fisk; brother, Fred Flarity; and sister, Effie Green.
