The Shreveport Journal - March 4, 1959 Mrs. Dan Dodez Sr. Claimed by Death Mrs. Louise S. Dodez, 80, wife of Dan L. Dodez Sr. and resident of Shreveport for the past 75 years, died at her residence at 921 Linden Ave. at 3:30 a.m. today after an extended illness. Mrs. Dodez was a native of Atlanta, Tex. She was a member of the Central Christian Church. She is survived by her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Byron F. Cook of Greenwood, Mrs. George Moffett, Summer Grove and Mrs. H. H. Maxwell of Shreveport; four sons, Dan I. Dodez Jr., Roy E. Dodez and Fred Dodez, all of Shreveport and Harry A Dodez, Texarkana: also 19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday in Osborn Chapel with the Rev. William A. Benfield, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will be in Forest Park. Active pallbearers will be Louis Cook, Dan A. Dodez, W. C. Strong, H. H. Maxwell, E. Wayne Johnson and Carlton Gentry.
