EDNA CURREY HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas-Edna Jewel Currey, 71, of Hughes Springs died Wednesday, March 31, 2004, at her home. Mrs. Currey was born Sept. 28, 1932, in Hughes Springs. She was a homemaker, a substitute teacher and a charter member of First United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Floyd Allen Currey of Hughes Springs; three daughters, Robin Davis of Mount Pleasant, Texas, Karen Carroll of Lone Star, Texas, and Pam Daniel of Hughes Springs; one son, Kelly Currey of Hughes Springs; two sisters, Lois Schanfish of Trinity, Texas, and Juanita Smith of Bedford, Texas; one brother, J.L. Bean of Devine, Texas; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bluford Weikel officiating.
