Vearl Clem HUGHES SPRINGS — Services for Vearl Clem, 81, of Lone Star will be held at 10 a.m. today, July 17, at Reeder-Davis Funeral Home Chapel with Tim Gibbs and Guy Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Mrs. Clem died Wednesday, July 14, 2004, in a Pittsburg hospital. Mrs. Clem, born Oct. 12, 1922, in Minneapolis, had worked in accounting. She was a member of Daingerfield Church of Christ, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Order of Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Vesta Michael; her husband, Aaron John Clem; three brothers, Beverly Michael, Warren Michael and William Michael; and two sisters, Angeline Michael and Baby Sister Michael. She is survived by two sons, Norman Hugo Gunkel of Columbus, Ohio, and Alvin Dennis Gunkel of Lone Star; one sister, Verna Ruth Harris of Hughes Springs; three grandchildren; five great-grandsons; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation was 6:30-8 p.m. Friday, July 16, at the funeral home.
