NORINE BOWERS

HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas-Norine Bowers, 94, of Hughes Springs died Wednesday Sept. 29, 2004, 
in Longview, Texas.

Mrs. Bowers was born Oct. 18, 1909, in Hughes Springs. She was a sales person and a member of 
Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of the Republic of Texas, Sesame Literary Club and 
First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Bowers.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Dwight and Nancy Bowers of Longview; one brother and 
sister-in-law, Amos Earl and Dean Cloninger of McAllen, Texas; one grandson and granddaughter-in-law, 
Lance and Christine Bowers of Houston; two granddaughters and one grandson-in-law, Angela and Randy 
Jarvis of Tyler, Texas, and Amy Bowers of Wilmington, N.C.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church with the Revs. Bluford Wiekel and 
Durwood Bristow officiating. Burial will be in Hughes Springs Cemetery under direction of Reeder-Davis 
Funeral Home.
