JEAN BISHOP

HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas-Jean Bishop, 81, of Hughes Springs died Saturday, Jan. 1, 2005, 
in a Longview, Texas, nursing home.

Mrs. Bishop was born April 4, 1923, in Syracuse, N.Y. She was a retired teacher, former president 
of Sesame Literary Club, former president of Red Radiance Garden Club, former president of 
Retired Teachers Association and a member of Taking Off Pounds Sensibly and a member of 
First United Methodist Church, Hughes Springs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee 
Bishop.

Survivors include one daughter, Diana Meyers of Hughes Springs; three sons, Glenn K. of Califon, 
N.J., Lee Scott of Bridgwater, N.J., and Keith Bishop of Clifton, N.J.; one sister, Priscilla 
Darenbacker of Sarasota, Fla.; and 11 grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bluford Weikel 
officiating under direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home.
