    Midland, Texas - Melba J. HODGES, 77, of Midland died Wednesday, June 2, 1999, at Memorial Hospital and Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Ellis Funeral Home with the Revs. Truman Friday and Bob Porterfield officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements by Ellis Funeral Home. She was born in Cass County. She was Baptist. Survivors: Daughter, Melinda HODGES of Midland; son, Johnny Mac HODGES of Midland; sister, Ruth Helen BIDDY of Avinger; and three grandchildren.
