Wright Patman, Democrat, of Texarkana, Texas was born near Hughes Springs, Cass County, Texas, August 6, 1893. He resided in Texas all of his life and served as a Member of Congress many years until his death last year. (1976)

(Pop. 471) Named for Henry L. Bloomburg, a railroad official who spent some time in the locality while the Texarkana and Ft Smith railroad was being built in 1895.
