Unknown Photos submitted by Kelli Foster Fannin.
The first photo is a group of friends who went out on a warm Sunday afternoon. I'm guessing the boy and girl are a possible couple. The dress the young lady has on has a big bow . She is also seen in the photo with the group of girls. Her dress is just like the girl on the far left and the girl in the middle.....except the bow. These girls may be sisters. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
In this photo, there are two girls who look like identical twins to me. One has a scarf on her head, the other doesn't. Nothing was written on the back of this post card photo. In the next e-mail....pic 3....I think the woman in it is possibly one of these women.
On the back of this picture postcard (which was actually mailed!!) says:
(Addressed to Miss Annie Cotton Marietta, Tx)
(torn first few letters of first name) .....ie Cotton
Dear frind,
gess you are gon by this time and hope you the
same joy ???? (Unreadable word).
I was sorry I didn't get to stay longer with you.
By by and as always best frinds,
Cora H
The postcard is postmarked 17 Nov 1913. My ggrandmother was married 28 Jan 1914. I feel as though this may have been their last "pow-wow" together before annie became a "married woman". On the front of the picture notice Cora has written her full name.....Cora Haywood......in the Vol. 6 edition of Cemeteries with Cass County Connections..on pg 27 there is a Cora Laura Barton Haywood....b. 1899 d. 1927 (a year or less than Annie) . She was married to Neughan Haywood. Any other information is greatly appreciated.

In this picture, the young lady's name is Lola. It too is addressed to 'Miss Annie Cotton' implying it is before Jan 1914. There is a message written on the back but people used to glue their pics in a scrapbook with that awful construction-like consistency paper and when they would peel the pics off, they would have some of the papter still stuck to them. From what I can read of the message is.....(and makes no sense....so I must be wrong....lol):
(Unreadable) you no
(unreadable) is don't you??
From Lola
