Russell, Edward

PITTSBURG - Services for Edward Russell, 81, of Pittsburg, will be 10 
a.m. Monday, April 23, 2007, at Emmanuel Baptist Church with Bro. Kyle 
Smith officiating. Interment will be in Leesburg Cemetery in Camp County. 
Arrangements are by Erman Smith Funeral Home. Mr. Russell died April 20, 
2007, in Longview.

Born February 1, 1926, in Camp County, he served in the U.S. Army during 
World War II, receiving numerous medals, was teller and vice president at 
First State Bank for 42 years, a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, a 
Mason and Shriner. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Russell; son, 
Michael Russell; daughter, Diann Anderson; brother, Billy Paul Russell; 
and sister, Peggy Thorsell. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. today, April 22, 
2007, at the funeral home.
