I have recently acquired a newspaper obit for Peter R. KETCHUM's son, Chester VanBuren
Ketchum, which states that he came to Texas with his parents (plural) when he was 9 years
old......this would have been 1848.....to Limestone County, TX and then to Caldwell County,
Texas. Chester's father was Peter R. Ketchum. I have been searching for 30 years for information
about Peter R. Ketchum's wife which might give me a clue to other ancestors. (His father was
apparently named Edward, but I have no other absolute info about Edward's ancestors either,
except that I think he married Mary REASOR in Virginia). Since Peter R. Ketchum's son Chester
says they came to Texas in 1848, and Peter R. Ketchum married Arrabella WAGGONER in
Caldwell Co., in 1852, this probably means that Peter's wife died in either Limestone or Caldwell
Counties, TX (although she could have died on the journey from Illinois?) I think it was more
likely Caldwell County. His wife could have been Ann BURRELL. There is a marriage record in
Blount County, AL that Peter R. Ketchum married Ann Burrell in 1825. If this info is correct she
might have been his second wife since his first son was born 1820. Does anyone have any
Ketchum and/or Burrell family connection to Caldwell County? Peter R. Ketchum and some
others of his family are buried in Prairie Lea Cemetery, and/or Prairie Lea Masonic Cemetery as
far as I can tell.

Does anyone know if Edward Farris STOREY (1839-died c 1860 in NV. Photograph hangs in
Storey Co. NV courthouse) or Horatio Emmitt Storey (b 1837 d 1862 as results of wounds
received at the battle of Shiloh)-have any living descendants? My information for these dates came
from "The Family Storey" and Internet web pages. Edward and Horatio were both the sons of
John Thompson Storey and Lucy McLester Storey. Does anyone have any information about
Sarah FARRIS ( 1748-1795) wife of Anthony Storey.

David PHILLIPS was my great grandfather, and father of my Grandmother, Juanita Phillips
STURDIVANT. David died in Luling on November 29, 1961. I wondered if you had a copy of
the obituary that ran in the Luling Herald? My grandmother, Juanita, also passed away in Luling
recently. My great grandmother, Ada Pearl McCANN Phillips, died in 1962. I am not sure, but I
believe she died in Luling, too. My great Aunt, Mary Elizabeth Phillips BELLOTTE also passed
away in Luling. My great grandparents, David Phillips and Pearl McCann were married on
November 28, 1903 by John T. Poe? Is that a Luling name, too? I'd be happy to reimburse
anybody for copying of any information you may have. Thanks for your time! Kaira, Columbus,
Ohio
