Lottie Burris Brown

Lottie was born the 16th of July 1847, a slave of the Stephen Burris family probably of Tishimingo County Mississippi. Lottie was with the Burris family when they migrated to Gonzales County Texas in 1856.

Lottie married Garner Thomas in 1867. There were nine children born to Garner and Lottie. Garner Thomas died in 1884, his finally resting place is unknown.

Lottie remarried after the death of her first husband, Garner Thomas. Her second husband Owen Brown and Lottie were married in Caldwell County where there was one son born to them.

Lottie Burris Brown Thomas passed on the 20th of December 1910. Her final resting place is at Fleming Cemetery. Lottie left 236 acres which were divided into subdivisions for the children of Lottie and Garner Thomas.
