The Burnet County Genealogical Society c/o Herman Brown Free Library 100 Washington Street Burnet TX 78611 meets the third Thursday of each month (except August and December) at 1:15 pm., in the Herman Brown Free Library, on the square. Anyone interested in genealogical research is cordially invited to attend the meeting. Dues are $10 per year for individual membership, or $15 for family membership. The dues are used to support the Betty Van Gorkom Genealogy Room of the library. NOTE: 6-9-2023 I was told through their FACEBOOK page that they no longer are using the website.

Queries: The BCGS provides limited lookups for the public from resources in the Burnet Library, charging small fees for copying and postage costs. You can become a member by sending $10, along with your name, address, telephone #, and e-mail to the address above. Donations are gratefully accepted in any amount. All monies collected as a result of your donations go towards purchasing books and equipment for the library.
