Rites Held Here Sat’day Evening For Mrs. Taylor
Lela Maude James Taylor
Mrs. Wade Taylor, prominent Temple woman, and daughter of Mrs. G. E. James, of
this city, died in Temple Friday morning, February 26, after a prolonged
illness.
Born May 3, 1887, in Caldwell, she was married June 4, 1913, to Wade H. Taylor.
Her maiden name was Lela Maude James.
She joined the Baptist church in Caldwell at the age of 3.
Funeral services were held here at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist
Church. Rev. C. R. Shirar, of
Temple, Rev. W. O. Wright, of Marlin, and Rev. A. E. Harrison, Caldwell,
officiated. Burial was in the
Masonic cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, her mother; one brother, H. E. James and a sister, Mrs. Murray Broaddus.
Active
pallbearers were George G. Yates, Frank Mayborn, Dr. A. C. Scott, Jr., and
Dr. V. M. Longmire, of Temple, C. B. Oliver, C. E. Cade and Hays Bowers, of
