Marriage: Viola REYNOLDS & Charles PARNELL. They will live at Gause [Milam Co.]

  The little child of Mr. JOHNIGAN, of Hookerville was buried at Yellow Prairie last week.

  Mrs. Dora McDANIELS, whose husband was recently killed in a train accident at Mexico is now with her mother, Mrs. Jonus HENSLEY.

George LOVELACE, age 18 died last Friday and was buried Sunday. [Hix]

  Ex Governor P. H. BELL of Texas died in Littleton, North Carolina, March 8th after a long illness.

  Patents issued to Texas residents: Daniel HARDING of Corsicana for hose coupling, James MANNING of Water Valley for collecting and conveying water, John R. SCOFFIELD of Dallas for speed gearing, George M. SLAUGHTER of Running Water for gas burning device

Marriage: Mr. OLIVER, of Hearne and Miss Sallie WARLICK.

  Rufus HOFFMAN of Hix is here on account of illness and death of little child of Mrs. WILLBANKS, his sister.

  John CARLOW [or Cardlow] [Negro] was lynched near Round Mountain in northern Alabama last night for paying attention to a white girl named STOUT.

  Mrs. REEVES returned home from Brenham where she had been to attend death of her mother, Mrs. HOSEA, who died last week,

  Mrs. Augusta HOTING, wife of Al, the blacksmith died as the result of a surgical oper ation by Dr. REES of Brenham. She was Augusta KEMP and seven years ago married Mr. HOTING. There were no children and the remains were buried at Paige, in Bastrop Co. ** In a notice, placed later in the newspaper, Mr. HOTING states Dr. REES had nothing to do with his wife’s death.
