  J. F. TOWNSEND of Birch community is requesting the address of A. B. SIMS, who was a horse dealer.

  Colonel D. A. WILLIAMS of Dallas died at Terrell, Texas on the 28th. He was prosecuting attorney of Dallas County and a gallant Confederate.

APRIL 15, 1898

B. W. Curry came in with a Negro, Mark WILLIAMS, who is charged with the murder of his father in law, Dennis FOOTE. He was arrested at Bay City, Matagorda County, Texas.

  Last Monday, two Negroes had a difficulty in Yegua [creek] bottom, about 12 miles west of town. As a result, Rufe BENSON is in the county jail having shot Ed STAFFORD through the stomach and killed his horse. STAFFORD will probably die.
