I'm looking for genelogical information on AKIN and MCKINNEY families in the Bowie County area. My grandmother is
Lois Akin Eubank Lanier, New Boston, and family lore has it that we are descendants of Collin McKinney. I would like any
information that could confirm this information. Thanks for any assistance you may be able to provide to my search.

I am beginning to research my husband's ancestors. I am seeking info on Julia F. BLACK born August 15, l864-died
March 4, l953 in Texarkana, Tx. She was married to James K. SHELLEY, date unknown. James K. SHELLEY was born in 1851 and
died in 1929. This is all the info I have. Any help will be appreciated.
Searching for decendants of Joseph NEWTON originally from Greenbrier Co. VA/W.VA. 1700's. Some migrated to TX. but
don't know where. Some family names were James, Charles, Fleming or Flemon, Decatur, Thomas, and Allen B. NEWTON. Any

GOODWIN, Oliver W. married to Penny NOBLES and to Mariah Goodwin. Lived in Redwater and Naples, Texas. Served in
civil war in Co. I, 19th Texas Regiment. Any info on him, wives or family greatly appreciated.
Info needed on David M. JARRETT. Born 18 March 1831, in Denmark, Madison County TN. Moved to Texas when he was 4
years old. Died 12 miles west of Texarkana, TX, 29 November 1903. Wife was Eleanor WILLIAMS, daughter of J.J. Williams.
I would like information on surname of RICKMAN (maternal grandmother). Thank you very much!
ROBINSON -- I am looking for information on G. R. Robinson. He was listed on the 1860 DeKalb, Bowie Co., TX census,
age 27. G. R. was a farm laborer with $150 in personal property and he was born in Mississippi. Living with him is S. E.
Robinson, 15, female housekeeper born in Alabama and S. F. Robinson, 2/12, female born in TX. In the 1900 DeKalb, Bowie
Co., TX census, G. R.'s son Phillip was living with his family. Thanks for any information.

I am looking for any information on the College Hill Cemetery located south of DeKalb, TX. I have been told that a
William Bell POST was buried there in 1885. His son, Joseph R. POST, is buried there with some of his family. Any info
would be greatly appreciated.
I am trying to find out information on Mattie M. REVERRA. Her mother was Rebecca McDANIEL who married P.J.REVERRA
Jan. 29,1891 in Bowie Co. Rebecca McDANIEL REVERRA must have died before 1903 because Mattie M.REVERRA is listed on Nov.
3, 1903 Bowie County Probate Minutes. Paul REVERRA is shown as dying Feb. 2, 1938 (Case 3944 P.W. Vol. 23.Bowie County
Probate Minutes). Where is Rebecca McDANIEL REVERRA buried? What happened to Mattie M. REVERRA. Where is Paul REVERRA
buried? Does anything show what the M.stands for with Mattie M. REVERRA? Rebecca McDaniel was shown to be a tax payer in
Bowie County in 1890.
My gggrandfather was Joseph BEAUCHAMP. He was born in 1849 in FL or Bowie Co., TX. He died in Bowie Co, TX in
1918(?). My grandmother says the family pronounced the name the French way. His wife's name was Mary A. GAMBILL. They
had many children. I am descended from Henry W. or W. Henry. On one record I found Joseph's name spelled Baucom. I have
some info I've collected on the Beauchamps and I need to connect him to James H. Beauchamp b.in FL. Or I'd like to know
more about my Joseph. I've heard there was a family with the last name Bushong in Bowie County, TX and wonder if they
are related to the Beauchamps. Thanks for any info. I have pictures I'd love to share.

any information on the Four States Press, Texarkana Texas side during these years and in particular 1922-1925. Also

Seeking information on Richard Magee WHITE who died 19 February 1919 in Bowie Co., TX. He married Sarah/Syrena
GARRETT. Their children were Dr. J. Newton WHITE who died 1949 in Bowie Co., TX and Herschell V. WHITE who died 10 Dec
1940. Herschell married Sarah Cordelia GRIFFIN and he owned a shoe repair shop. Syrena GARRETT White married Levi Thomas
MORPHEW. I would love to hear from anyone about this family.
I am studying the ancestry of the HOUSE family of Texarkana, Texas. I can trace back to my ggrandfather Micaiah
(Micajah) House who married Emily MAYFIELD. They had Will, Walter, Charlie, Joseph Milton (my grandfather), Dempsey, and
Ruth (?). Joseph Milton married Anna May GOLDSBOROUGH and they lived most of their lives in Texarkana. They had Charles
Wesley (my father) in 1907 in Kansas City but moved back to Texarkana in 1909. They also had Marjorie House McWhorter,
Martha House Harris, Ruth House Camponova, and Anna May House Clarkson. (I believe that all of these were born in
Texarkana. I was born in Texarkana in 1944, lived there about 18 months they my family moved to Dallas. Any help in
discovering Micajah's and Emily's ancestry would be most appreciated. Thanks, Bill House
Looking for information on William T. FAGAN. Born in Alabama in 1841. Married Helen PUNDY 1864 in Mobile,
Alabama..had at least 7 children. Moved to Lamar Co. TX around 1867 with his father Samuel T, FAGAN and step family. Was
found in Bowie on the 1900 census. Died between 1900 and 1910. Looking for his death date. Will take and or share any
information.
HOLLAND-BLASSINGAME Seeking information on the family of Joshua C. HOLLAND who married Clara BLASSINGAME in 1907
and appeared in the 1910 census in Bowie County, Precinct 5. The HOLLAND children from a previous marriage to California
SOWARD were:Minnie E., Newton Isaac, Julia, Grover A., Ernest, Myrtle, Joshua W., and William K. Clara's children from a
previous marriage include Sidney, Ben, Earl, and Mary BLASSINGAME. There was one child from the Joshua/Clara marriage,
Howard HOLLAND. Any information appreciated.
Hezekiah BAYLES Jr, born 23 Apr 1790 Hawkins Co., NC (now TN), married Mary, born ca 1793 TN; migrated from
Marshall Co., AL to Bowie Co., TX where they appear in the 1850 & 1860 Census of Bowie Co. Hezekiah Jr was a school
teacher in 1850. Know children are: 1) Hezekiah, born ca 1817 AL, married Sarah K.; 2) Mary G., born ca 1824 AL; 3) Kim
H., born ca 1826 AL; 4) Sarah A., born ca 1830 AL; 5) C.C., born ca 1830 AL; 6) Allison B., born ca 1835 AL; and 7)
Julia Ann, born ca 1837 AL. Hezekiah Jr was the son of Hezekiah Sr & Jane EVANS who migrated from Loudoun Co., VA in
1789 to Washington Co., NC (now TN), then to present day Knox Co., TN (then Hawkins Co., TN), then to Madison Co., AL in
1806 (then Mississippi Territory).
I am looking for descendents of C. L. DURAN and Mary J. NORMAN who married in Bowie County, TX in 1906. I believe
this family is descended from Levi W. NORMAN b. abt 1831 OH and his wife, Millie B. REDDEN and am anxious to meet some
kin! Have lots of information to share!!!
