Bowie, Tarrant, Smith County Query: Seeking any info on GWINN, George Conrad b12/11/1869 in Indiana and his son,
GWINN, George H. b12/14/1894 perhaps Ingersol, Bowie Co., TX. They lived in the other counties around the turn of the
century. George Conrad is found in Winfield, LA. in 1915.

DOUGLASS, Looking for links to James Monroe Douglas, b. 1831, AL or AR. Two of his daughters were born in Bowie
Co, TX, other children may have been born in Bowie Co. Ethel Willie Douglas, b. 1888 in Basssett, Bowie Co. Texas.
Myrtle Douglas was born around 1890.
My 91-year-old aunt and I are looking for information about my grandfather, Walter Harrison NELSON, who died at his
own hand on May 13, 1924 in Texarkana. On November 21, 1892, he married Mary Hazeltine LEWIS in Texarkana. I have the
original marriage certificate. They were married by a minister named Joseph LAVENDER in Bowie County. I need to get a
copy of his death certificate to see if it lists his father's name - I need that to find anything in the census records
in Ohio or Missouri, where he supposedly lived before Texarkana. He was a mystery in life and, so far, remains so in
death. Please help! Thank you.
WATSON. William H. "Bud" WATSON was b 7 June 1840 in Bowie Co.; I cannot locate him with his parents in
1850 cn TX or AR. It is said he had no brothers. In 1860 he is living with a presumed relative John T. WATSON (b c1806
KY) in Bastrop Co. TX, where in 1866 Bud m Mary SHEPARD. Bud's sister Sarah Jane WATSON was b 1 June 1836 in Hempstead
Co. AR and m/1 1850 Hempstead Co. AR William Marion SHEPARD, m/2 1852 Travis Co. TX his brother Franklin SHEPARD
(brothers of Mary). They all moved to Stephens Co. TX c1880. A possible sister was Elizabeth K. WATSON, b AR c1846, m
Bastrop Co. TX 1869 W. F. YATES. In 1880/1900 Bud and Sarah Jane reported father b KY, mother b INdiana. Other surnames
associated with this family: ECHOLS, SHARP, TALKINGTON. Would like to find any information on these families.

KELLEY, 3g father Hiram and 2g father Jessie fled the Civil War conflict near their homes near Hindsville, AR in
late 1862. They stayed with "relatives in Texas" (probably Bowie County, likely with older sons). Jessie was
next to youngest of nine children. Jessie later appeared in the 1880 census of Arkansas, but his father Hiram and half
brother Grover were not listed. Looking in Bowie County (or unknown county) for the lost KELLEY boys.
My Mary HERRON and two sons were in Ellis Co. TX by 1850. These HERRONS had been in Williamson Co. TN until they
moved to MS for a period of time. Mary's grandaughter, Sarah Artimishia HERRON married Alexander HANLEY but was widowed
by the 1860 Ellis Co. TX census. Will be happy to share the HERRON family info. Am also interested in the HOSKINS that
were in Ellis Co. by the 1860s trying to tie them into same line as my Isabella Jane HOSKINS who married John Nunn
STEWART. This couple were in Bowie Co. TX by 1836 where both died in the 1840s. Alfred Gatewood HOSKINS of Bowie Co. TX
was probably Isabella Jane HOSKINS brother. I believe some of the STEWART children were in, and married in Ellis Co. TX.
Appreciate contact with other researchers interested in any of these Ellis Co. TX surnames.

I am seeking information on the John W. CANNADAY family. They are listed in the 1900 census in Milam County. I know
he lived until at least 1927. He was born in reportedly born in Alabama around 1857. Eva was his second wife. I found
John and his first wife Margaret and their son, James, living in Franklin County, Ala. in the 1880 census.

20, is found in Bastrop Co. TX 1860 in hh of John T. WATSON, b 1805 KY (not his father). A John T. WATSON received land
grants in Bowie county. Bud m 1866 Bastrop Co. Mary SHEPARD, and Sarah Jane WATSON m/1 (1850 Hempstead Co. AR as
"Jane") her brother William Marion SHEPARD, and /2 (1852 Travis Co. TX) her brother Franklin SHEPARD. A likely
sister is Elizabeth K. WATSON b AR c1846, m W. F. YATES 1869 Bastrop Co. He is found with a wife Emma in Harrison Co.
1880. The WATSON/SHEPARD families settled in Stephens & Eastland counties TX 1877-1880. Other Shepard brothers
settled in Lamar, Harrison and Marion Co. Seeking info on parents, other siblings, of William H. and Sarah Jane.
