KELLEY
posted by Judy Oldziewski on Sunday, March 2, 1997

My great grandfather William KELLEY, his wife Elizabeth Jane (aka Hepsey) and 2 sons, Edward and John Melvin came from Lawrence County Tennessee to Bowie County about 1892. According to Elizabeth Jane's obituary William died at DeKalb, Texas in 1894. Family tradition states he died of something very contagious and as a result there was not even a church service but just a graveside service because of the health risk. I would like very much to know where William is buried. It is my belief that other Kelley's were also in area and stayed when Elizabeth, Edward and John moved to Ark about 1898. Is there anyone out there who can help me or is perhaps from the same Kelley family. I will be happy to share information. Judy
