This is a picture of Mary Alice Wooten Hayes (10 May 1875-7 Oct 1954), wife of Asa Nelson Hayes (26 Oct 1862-7 Sep 1907), who was a policeman in Paris, TX, and died of Malaria fever. His grandmother had a store in Dalby Springs.

Alice was a widow for 47 years and raised 7 children by herself. Note: Sarah Lydia Hayes is the same Lydia Hayes in the 1908 New Hope School picture.
