The first burial was that of E. W. Anderson on March 10, 1904. "The caskets were transported from the area churches by a hearse to..." a certain point where "the casket was placed on a horse-drawn wagon, to be carried the rest of the way through the woods and up the hills to the cemetery... The cemetery served these Foster Community churches, Jasper Baptist, Jerusalem Baptist, and Bethel A.M.E. for more than sixty years. There are approximately fifteen headstones and more than eighty unmarked graves...The last burial was that of Ivory Baker in 1968."
