Murchison Had 75 Students in 1903; Picture Preserved

These are the Murchison School students and teachers for school term, 1903-04.
The picture was made at the rear of the building where the steps lead up to the
stairway on the second floor. The school principal was Frank Warren and the
assistant teacher, Miss Ida Clay. Reading from left to right, seated on front row:

Barny Gibbs, Britt (Bud) Bingham, Thurman Curry, Clyde Eads, Jack Partlow,
Lee Partlow, Lawrence Smittle, Maudie Harrison, Carl Sanders, Marvin Webb,
Genie Prather, Jewel Bingham, Carrie Loper, Ruth Gibbs, Eunice Webb, Monroe Webb.

Second row, left to right Lonnie Barfield, Lula Barfied, Anna Jenkins, Lottie Gibbs,

On stairway first step, upward, Annie Perry, Adelia (Deal) Pickering, Lucile Cranford,

The students and teachers in the photograph were identified by Clyde Eads,
who was nine years of age at the time the picture was made.
