Margaret Ann & Frieda Fay Knotts

Photo of my grandmother, Margaret Ann Knotts (1 May, 1901 - 17 March, 1992), and her older sister, Frieda Fay Knotts (28 September, 1899 - January 1986). Margaret and Frieda were the oldest daughters of Albert Ross Knotts and English Marvin (Gentry) Knotts.

Margaret lived most of her life in Malakoff, Texas and married William B. "Son" Payne, Jr., who was a pharmacist in Malakoff and owned Payne's Drug Store. Margaret (Knotts) Payne is buried beside her husband in the Malakoff City Cemetery.

Frieda Fay lived in Dallas and Athens, Texas. She married Hamp Crabtree, a home builder. Frieda Fay (Knotts) Crabtree is buried beside her husband in the Athens City Cemetery.
