Royall & Waller Employee Makes
Best Club Rating for ‘64

Herbert Cherry, service department manager for the Royall &
Waller Chevrolet Company here, has been designated as
Vice-President of Chevrolet's "Only the Best Club" in
the Dallas Zone for the year, 1964. Mr. Cherry attained the
presidency of that club for the year, 1963.
In a letter to the Royall & Waller company, received this
week at the hands of Mr. T. L. Davis, service manager of the
Dallas Zone, Mr. Davis said, "The ‘Only the Best Club'
rankings for 1963 have been completed. It is gratifying for me
and to Chevrolet, that your service manager, Mr. H. L. Cherry, in
view of his very fine performance, will be designated
Vice-President of the Dallas Zone ‘Only the Best Club' for
1964, and he should be commended for his contribution to
Chevrolet and to the Malakoff Dealership."
Special recognition, Mr. Davis said, for Mr. Cherry's achievement
will be presented to him sometime in the very near future.
Herbert L. (Buddy) Cherry, one of the best service managers in
Texas, has been associated with Royall & Waller for the past
12 years and has become one of the important cogs in the business
of pleasing customers which is a trade mark in the company.
A native of Kerens, Buddy moved to Malakoff 22 years ago from
Trinidad. He has made this his home ever since.
In 1963, he was President of the "Only the Best"
Service Manager Club, an honor organization of the Chevrolet
family of service departments. He is currently serving as
Vice-President of that organization and was one of only five
members of the club to represent the service managers of the
Dallas Zone at the Advisors Council for 1963.
Buddy and his wife, Erlene, have three children, ages 21, 17, and
seven. They attend the Baptist Church. Buddy's off-hours
activities include hunting and fishing.
