School is getting along nicely.
Health of our community is very good except some accidents.
While Tome Carnes was coming from Athens Saturday his mules got frightened and ran and the road being rough, hurt his back and he is nearly past going.
Joe Ramsey was hauling with the wagon bed off and got his foot caught between the down brake and a stump and broke his leg. he was suffering very badly Sunday.
D. M. Carnes and family, Mattie and Cora Martin spent Saturday night with Joe Ramsey.
G. T. Martin spent Saturday night with Uncle Ed.
Bill Lawler and wife spent Sunday with Jim Davis.
Earl Davis was out Sunday from Athens. he and his wife went back Monday.
Tome Carnes has bought him a $73 cook stove.
Dick Steel bougth one also; and Uncle Joe Coker bought one. Uncle Ed said he would buy one if they would put a whistle to it.
G. T. Martin found two jugs of syrup in the creek the other day that washed away last fall. It was as fresh as it was when made.
Jim Seets set some traps in the creek to catch some coons and the creek got up and he caught some catfish in the traps a foot long.
M. O or C. Michell is palling in a new garden.
There was preaching at Cox's Chapel Saturday and Sunday.
Walter Terry has about completed his new house. he has bought a $73 stove to go in it.
Marion Brock has got his new house about completed.
Dr. LaRue is diggin a well.
