Wallar, June 12-
Well here I come after an absence of a few days. Will say that we
are needing rain on the feed crops throughout this part of the
county.
Miss Edith Johnson is reported on the sick list
at present, having Dr. Meadows with her
Saturday.
Mrs. Lem Greenhaw was stricken on last Tuesday
with appendicitis and was operated on at the St. Paul hospital at
Dallas Wednesday. The last report was that she was improving.
The wedding bells were ringing here Sunday, June 11. M. B. Howard
and Miss Opal Payne of Tolosa community were
married at Flag Lake with a great host of friends to witness the
ceremony. Mrs. Bessie Drenning performing the
ceremony. From what we hear there will be two more weddings this
coming week.
W.E. Bell and family of Frankston are visiting
the writer and family at present. He tells us that tomatoes sure
are bringing some good money where he lives.
Loyd Bell of Toole was visiting Edgar Kennedy
last Saturday night.
Sunday School at Wallar is still progressing nicely. Everybody
still invited to attend.
The stork arrived at the home of Cleon and Virgie Brown's
last Thursday and left twins, two bouncing girls; one weighed 6
and the other 8 pounds.
The RFC men have done some good work on the roads the last few
days.
Bob Prigmore of Tolosa, and C. C. Knight
of Toole passed thru this morning enroute to Tyler
federal court.
D. Johnson and family had visitors from Dallas
Sunday.
