Turkey Creek, Aug 29 -
Will give a few items of this place.
Mrs. Della Long and daughter, Mrs. Fields and their families spent the past week with the former's brother, Calvin Cothran and family.
Mrs. Edd Smith visited her father, S. A. Ballard a few days last week.
Mrs. Frank Speake spent part of last week with her daughter, Mrs. Bay Wheeler of Athens.
John A. McGee and Lee Goodgame of Paducah, Texas, are visitors at the the Bill McGee home.
Billie and Nettie Myrle Partin of Palestine spent last week with their sister, Mrs. Edd McGee.
Miss Phay Bell of Malakoff spent last week with Mrs. Bennett Lewis, Sr.
Bill Tom McGee of Walnut Creek happened to a severe accident Sunday evening at the Grimes swimming pool of this place. She lost her hold on the swimming cable and landed on the bank instead of the water and received a very badly bruised face and eye.
Alfred Leopard of Malakoff visited relatives here Sunday.
Miss Clara Leopard spent Sunday in the Rhome community.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Speake and son, John spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Bennett Lewis.
Sweetie Lewis spent last week at Cross Roads.
Miss Opal Gibson of Lockland, is spending the week with Erin Cothran.
Herbert Melton of Big Rock visited at the Frank Speake home Saturday.
Bud and Cotton Arrington are on the sick list.
Will Allen and family of Jackson Chapel were Sunday guests of their daughter, Mrs. Cotton Arrington.
Bro. Jim Lansford of Payne Springs will preach at this place Sunday evening, Sept 3 at 3:00 o'clock. His subject will be "The Mark of the Beast." Everybody invited to attend the service.
Born to Mr. and Mrs. Bay Wheeler Sunday, Aug 20, an 8 pound boy. The little man will be called Clifford Eugene.
Mrs. Julian Wheeler of Corsicana is visiting Mrs. Orie Wheeler and family.
Mrs. Melton Wheeler of Blooming Grove is visiting Mrs. Bay Wheeler and family.
