Big Rains Slow Farming Here

The big rains have slowed the farming up for a few days, however it has been fine for setting out plants such as sweet potatoes.
We have not been able to gather much news due to the weather.
Charles Garner of Arkansas and Dewayne Eves of Mabank were Sunday visitors in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Weldon Foster and family.
H. T. Youngblood and family visited in the home of Pat Eves Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Weldon Foster and family visited in the home of Aubrey Bullard and family Friday night.
Carol Weatherford and family visited relatives in Van Zandt County Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. P. H. Youngblood spent Sunday with their daughter Mrs. Atheleen Whitehead and family.
Canning is the order of the day with housewives in this community.
Mrs. Grady Graham and children were recent visitors in the home of Mrs. P. B. Neill and family.
