Malakoff
L. R. Riddlesperger and I. P. Tidmore were business visitors in
Athens Monday.
Jack Tanner left Sunday for Houston, Texas, where he has accepted
a position.
Jeff Gentry of Grand Prarie visited his parents, M/M W. J. Gentry
here Sunday.
Mrs. H. L. Flagg and Mrs. S. R. Thompson were in Corsicana
visitors last Friday.
W. H. Finnel, J. D. MaGuire and L. J. Scholl, Jr., were Athens
visitors Monday.
Mrs. Lila Baxer of Fort Worth spent Sunday here with her sister,
Mrs. G. W. Urrey.
M/M Jim Peay and also their daughter of Athens visited M/M W. J.
Gentry here Sunday.
M/M Chas. Deen of LaRue and M/M Walter Dean and baby and father
of Athens all spent Sunday here with their sister, Mrs. V. H.
Frizzell.
H. L. Flagg and T. A. Bartlett were in Dallas a few days this
week on business.
M/M Guy Chapman and children and Mrs. C. A. Riddlesperger motored
to Mabank Saturday and spent the night with their aunt, Mrs.
Tidmore. Sunday morning M/M Chapman and children motored to
Dallas where they spent the day at the Baptist sanitarium, with
Mr. Chapman's step-mother, Mrs. J. S. Whatley who is slowly
improving from a recent illness.
Mrs. Churchill, returned to her home in Corsicana Monday morning
after a short visit with her father, S. L. Boyett.
Mrs. Carswell and Mrs. Eustace, Misses Mary Boyett and Ruby Lee
Sanders of Athens spent a few hours here with Mrs. Melton
Tuesday.
R. E. Skiles and Dr. J. L. Evans were visitors in Powell Monday.
M/M Jesse Mitcham and family and Miss Hubbard of Payne Springs
spent a few hours here last Sunday.
Emory Tanner spent a few hours in Athens Tuesday night at the
bedside of his sister, Miss Lottie Tanner, who is quite ill.
M/M A. F. Wood and M/M Ben Ackerman of Athens spent a few hours
here last Sunday.
