Payne Springs

Payne Springs, Sept. 11-
Everyone has been picking cotton around here. Some are gathering corn, storing away their winter supplies.
The Pentacostal meeting closed Sunday night here which was a great help to this community. There were 12 new additions to the church. There was a large crowd met at the church Sunday and worshiped. Rev. Murry of Dallas conducted the services on Sunday morning and also in the afternoon and everyone enjoyed the sermons. There were lots of visitors from numerous parts of the county. Glad to have them and wish them to come back. Lunch was served at noon and there was plenty for everyone.
Don't forget Sunday School each Sunday morning at 10:00 o'clock.
