Flat Creek
The young folks enjoyed a musical at W. R. Roby's the night of the 20th.
The night before Christmas eve Mrs. Carden gave the young folks an
entertainment.
On Christmas eve night we went to a candy matching at W. R. Roby's.
Several enjoyed a turkey dinner Christmas day at Mrs. Roby's.
Mesdames W. R. Ratcliffe and G. M. Hanks/Banks and children of Mill Run
spent the holidays with relatives here.
Miss Viola Duckworth of LaRue spent Christmas with relatives here.
Misses McKnight and McElhaney of Athens spent Christmas with Josie
Carden and Eula Roby.
On Christmas night we all went to R. B. Perry's and had some nice music.
Mr. Roby played the violin and Jake Walters picked the guitar.
Mr. Jim Culbertson and Miss Janette Redding were married at Sand
Springs Sunday.
Bro. Neill Will move in a few days to his home near Hope.
Mr. Pucket from the prairie has moved on A. F. Hood's place.
School opened up yesterday morning with a fine attendance.
Misses Eula Roby and Josie Carden will leave Saturday for Kaufman
county to spend a few days with Mr. Edward and family.
Health of the community is very good at present.
The young folks enjoyed a social Monday night at Mrs. Carden's.
A social gathering at Will Duncan's Friday night was enjoyed by all present.
Hugh Carden went to Rome Monday.
Prof. Harper Hanks, W. E. Miller and Jacob Walters visited friends here a few
days ago.
Mrs. B. J. Nowell visited her daughter Mrs. Duncan.
We are sorry to note that our friend Witt Jenkins has left us. We wish him
success.
I. F. Lamance is moving on D. E. Lamance's place.
