Sept. 8 -- Several were trading in Mabank Saturday.

Parents of R. H. Davis were visiting here Sunday from Baxter.

S. C. Curtis and family visited relatives at Rock Hill Sunday afternoon.

There was prayer meeting last Saturday night at the Jim Frazier home
and will be at Frank Loftons next week.

Sunday was our preaching day and we had a good service.

Rev. Hull of Eustace preached a good serman Sunday at the school house.

Mr. and Mrs. Horace Campbell visited S. C. Campbell and family Sunday.

Sept. 14 -- Miss
Cordia George, Mrs. Everitt Davis and F. J. Davis are
attending the Teachers Institute in Athens this week.

Bill Ray and Miss Mamie Morgan were quietly married at the home of
Rev. F. L. George Sunday afternoon.  Their many friends join in wishing
them long lives of prosperity and happiness.

T. W. Knight of Athens and family were in our community Sunday afternoon.

Misses
Zuma, Lucille and Addie B. Harrison of near Athens accompainied
by Miss Thelma Shay of Eustace were visitors here Sunday.
(The above items were written last week and we failed to get them in.)

Carl Ray and  a daughter from Richland, Texas, were here Sunday afternoon
was well enjoyed by a large crowd.

There were so many visitors from other communities attending the singing

Sunday we will not attempt to report all.

Our school began here Monday.  The teachers are
F. J. Davis, Miss Doss,
Miss Hall and Miss Watson.

Those who started to school in Athens are Miss
Marguerite Taylor and
Messrs. Clifford Smith and Travis Knight.  There may be others we failed to hear of.

Grandma
Johnson has been on the sick list but is better.

We had a fine rain last week which was very much appreciated.
