Charter Presented To Athens Business & Professional Women's Club

Charter for the recently organized Athens Business and Professional Women's Club was presented
to the club at Corsicana at a luncheon held Sunday in that city at the Derrick. The charter was presented
by Miss Kate Adele Hill, state president. Members of the Athens club present for the occasion were
Miss Lillian Barber, president of the local club, Miss Alma Shelton, Miss Margarett Christie,
Mrs. Verna Newbill, Miss Ruth Blalock and Miss Ruby Dennis.

At a banquet held at the Navarro Hotel in Corsicana Saturday night the Athens club was
presented to Miss Hill as a birthday present.
