An ice cream supper at Will Phillips' was a failure because of a scarcity of overcoats---too cold to attend. Put it off until December boys.
Frank Webb went to Waco last week but was back next day. He now contemplates a trip to Houston.
Miss Delia Williamson is sick. All are glad to know that Prof. Fowler has our school for next year.
Our new church organ has arrived. Singers, get your books and tune up.
W. T. Godwin and family visited Grand Saline last week.
In a diving contest among the boys Calvin McWilliams carried off the prize, making a thirty-eight foot dive in five feet of water.
Quite a crowd attended singing at Rock Hill last Sunday. Miss Ethel Williamson made a trip to town Wednesday.
Sarah Hobbs is ill.
Ollie Sides of Paris is with us.
Some talk of a summer term of school.
An electric storm burned out Dr. McEachern's phone box Saturday.
There was a speaking at Lexie school house Friday. Subject "Good Roads" as delivered by Clarence Gilmore and discussed by Prof. Kidd was excellent.
Mr. Luck killed a very large rattle snake last week.
We have plenty of insurance and lightning-rod agents at present.
A small crowd attended a singing at Mr. McWilliams' Sunday eve.
Levi Cox visited Murchison last Sunday.
Most farmers are up with work and spend their time fishing.
Miss Minnie Andrews has been sick.
Dock Phillips has furnished his house with some lightning rods.
