We can boast of an excellent Sunday school. Teachers, pupils and
all seem t be much interested. We are proud of it.
Ben Smith had his horse to run against a tree
with him bruising him up considerably.
Married at the residence of the bride's mother on the 27th inst. Mr.
John Tiner to Miss Minnie Rushing, Rev. I. T.
Odell officiating.
Many friends and relatives enjoyed a splendid dining at the
groom's parents. we wish the young couple a good time through
life.
Joe Avant of Emet, I. T. visited his sister, Mrs.
McRae, last week.
Our school closed Friday until summer and our teacher,
Miss Florence Richardson, returned home Sunday. Miss
Florence has
taught a good school.
J. H. Richardson and wife of Centerview visited J.
L. Davis and family Sunday.
Irvin Pickle of Catfish attends Sunday school
here often.
Some are cutting and shipping cord wood while the ground id too
wet to plow. Stock of all kinds is looking bad. Some horses are
dying of blind staggers.
Robert Davis and Dr. Will Richardson
are done planting potatoes. Planted sixteen acres.
Our good friend, Sam Smith, visited the sick at
Pilgrim's Rest last week. He is a good man.
We trust you will be successful in getting up the Athens Daily
although the weekly is all right.
