Bro. Anthony Fills Pulpit On Sunday
By Mrs. J. W. White
April 25
Bro. Ivan Anthony, of Ennis delivered the Sunday night message at
our church. He is former pastor of our church. A large was out to
hear him.
We can't complain about the dry weather now. I don't know how
many inches of rain we have had, but water is everywhere. Tanks
are running over, and the new lake must be filling up fast.
I usually hate to be awakened in the morning, but it was nice
last Wednesday morning when our favorite niece, Mrs. Billy Wayne
Johnson, came knocking on the door, inviting paternal aunts and
uncles to come eat breakfast with her. They were Mesdames Ollie
Hooper and Otto Hendrix, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. White, and Howard
White. We enjoyed the meal together, and are hoping for another
invitation.
The community was saddened to learn of the sudden death of Mr.
Dave Hooper last Tuesday. He was found dead in his horse lot, a
victim of a heart attack.
Mr. and Mrs. John Earl White, Steve and Rhonda of San Antonio
spent the week end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. White.
They all had Friday night supper in Irving with Mr. and Mrs.
James White and girls.
Mr. and Mrs. William Huckaby of Palestine visited Mr. and Mrs.
Billy Wayne Johnson Saturday night.
Mrs. Benny Miller fell and broke her leg Wednesday. She had
surgery on it in a Tyler Hospital, and was able to return home
Saturday.
