Nov. 7- Mr. and Mrs. John Culbertson and small son arrived here on Saturday night en route to their home in Beaumont from New York City where he had been employed for the past several months. Mrs. Culbertson is the former Miss Beth Saxon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Saxon Jr. Mrs. Saxon and her daughter spent a few days in Irving with another daughter, Mrs. Danny Hart, and family.

Several people from here attended funeral services for W. H. Ballard Monday. He had many friends here who will mourn his passing.

Mrs. T. M. Miller Sr. was in Dallas on Friday where she underwent ear surgery.

Mr. and Mrs. Fowler Jones of westminster were week end visitors here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Jones, and Allan.

Mr. and Mrs. A. N. Saxon of Jackson, Miss., arrived last Thursday for an extended visit with his sister, Mrs. T. M. Taylor Sr. Other week end visitors in the Taylor home were Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Taylor, Sharon and Stan of Dallas, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Walker and sons of Mesquite and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Anderson of Canton.

Mr. and Mrs. D. T. Amos of Bellaire were recent visitors here with their son, the rev. Dick Amos, and family and the young grandsons, Mark and Paul accompanied them home for a visit. The younger Mrs. Amos and daughter, Kathy, are visiting her parents, the Rev. and Mrs. S. N. Denman, in Tennessee Colony.

Mrs. Hazel Lindsey of Dallas was a week end visitor here with her sister, Mrs. Travis Scott, and Mr. Scott.

Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Tompkins Jr. and family of Grapeland were week end visitors here and in Brownsboro.

Mr. and Mrs. Donald Parker and son, Paul, and Mr. and Mrs. Don Marable and son, Scott were in Frankston on Sunday night for a visit with the Rev. and Mrs. Joe Young and family.
