Are having some very bad weather and most of the cotton fields are white and corn still in the field. Farmers have made a fine crop of all kinds. But if the bad weather continues very much longer they will lose more than have saved.
T. J. FULLER has just returned from New Mexico where he has been prospecting. He will leave very soon to make that his home. He says that is a poor man's country. Fine country for stock.
Joe YOUNG has moved to his new home near LaRue. We regret very much to lose Mr. YOUNG and family.
Grandma DISMUKES who is visiting her granddaughter Mrs. MORROW, has been very sick but is able to be up. Grandma is getting very old and feeble. Hasn't very many more days to stay in this world. Her home is with her granddaughter Mrs. W. A. PALMER at LaRue.
Mr. HOLLEY and family spent Sunday with J. R. FORESTER and family.
Several from here attended the show at LaRue Saturday night.
Br. CALLAWAY preached Sunday eve. Preaches also next Sunday eve.
Miss Irene DICKSON left Sunday eve to attend the Baxter school.
Harrison Bailey has moved to Reid's Branch.
