BURGLARS AT MALAKOFF.

With the Aid of Hounds an Arrest Has Been Made.

Malakoff, Tex., Dec 1 -- Quite a number of small burglaries were committed here last night.
The residences of John and Mit Mitcham and A S Tanner were entered. In each case the
inmates were relieved of small amounts of pocket change, wearing apparel, etc. A citizen
having a small pack of bloodhounds which he has had in course of training for several
months, a crowd of some ten or twelve was organized early this morning and started with
the hounds in pursuit of a party. After an exciting chase of some two hours a strange young
negro was overhauled in a pasture about three miles southwest of town. He was promptly
marched back to town. The negro refuses to give any name or past account of himself.
