Married at Lott
A letter received last Saturday from J. Prothro Yantis,
editor of the
Lott Tribune, conveyed the pleasing intelligence of his marriage
to
Miss Stella Deer, a young lady residing in Lott
All the friends of Pro will
join in wishing this couple a long life of unalloyed happiness.

Annual Meeting Howdy Martin Camp U. C. V.
Howdy Martin Camp U. C. V. met in annual session
at the courthouse at
10 a.m. August 25, 1910
Commander Powers was present and presided.
Chaplain Wyrick invoked the Divine blessing on
the meeting.
The following officers answered to the roll call:
Commander Powers, Lieuts McLeod,
Richardson, and Derden;
Adjt. Lamons, Chaplin Wyrick.
Total membership present at meeting 40
On motion all former officers were received for the
ensuing year as follows
Commander, L. A. Powers
1st Lieut., W. A. McLeod.
2d Lieut., J. J. Richardson
3rd Lieut., R. W. Derden
Surgeon, T. M. Matthews Sr.
Chaplain, L. V. Wyrick
Color Bearer, Dan Donnell
Hiram P. Williams, 8th Miss. Infty. died this
year. This was the
only death in the Camp this year.

Moved to Athens
Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Perry are packing up to move
to Athens. They
expect to leave Ennis Friday morning.
They have rented their handsome cottage home on North Dallas
street to Engineer Ledbetter and family.
This paper regrets the departure of this good family from
our city, but wishes them success and happiness in their new
home-
Ennis News.
The Review is glad to welcome this family to Athens, and trust
they will find the move a profitable one and Athens a good
place to live.
Mr. Perry is one of the proprietors of the
Nickel Store.

The following marriage licenses were issued by our county
clerk:

Aug. 17 Lonnie Morgan and Cora Jarrett.
Aug. 19 Jerry Hogg and Etta Taylor.
Aug. 20 Isaac Miller and Pearl Glass.

D. R. Murchison and wife are entertaining a
small party of
friends at Stephens Lake this week. Among the guest, besides
the family, are Misses Julia Hawn and Margaret Johnson
of
Huntsville, Mr. Ben Miller of El Paso now
visiting here, is
also of the party. Ben looks chipper and gay. He is pleased
with his new location and is doing well.
Strange to say Ben is still unmarried.

Sketch of History of Howdy Martin Camp.
Howdy Martin Camp U. C. V. was organized July 4,
1888,
at Malakoff.
Dr. G. Malcolm first Commander and re-elected in
1889-90-91
In 1892 D. M. Morgan was elected Commander.
In 1894-95 W. T. Eustace was elected Commander.
In 1896 D. M. Morgan was again elected Commander
and was
successively elected each year until 1909, when he
declined further election, when the present Commander L. A.
Powers was elected.
This Camp was named in honor of Major Wm. H. Martin,
who
organized a company for the War near Athens in 1861, which
became Co. K. in 4th Tex. Infty.

Captain
E. O. Hall in command, Lieuts. Wofford
and Curlee with- in line
acted as and escort of honor to the Confederate Camp.
