REMINDER: All regular Membership meetings (except March and
September) will be held at the First United Methodist Church parlor
(just west of the sanctuary), located at 572 W. San Antonio Street,
New Braunfels, Tx on the second Tuesday of the month.

Restoration Program for the Historic Comal County Courthouse
Name: Tere O’Connell, AIA Occupation:
Architect
Background: Ms. O’Connell is the Principal
Architect for the proposed restoration of
the historic Comal County Courthouse. She has been the supervising architect
for several
recently completed restorations including the Fayette and Llano County
Courthouses,
the Texas Governor’s Mansion, and the historic Eddleman-McFarland House
in Fort Worth.
Volz & Associates is working several historic buildings at the University
of Texas and several
new and historic residences across Texas.
Hobbies/ Interests: Ms. O’Connell is very involved with community preservation
efforts in
her home town of Austin, ncluding her service to the City on the Historic
Landmark Task Force
and her assistance to her neighborhood in becoming a National Register
Historic District
this year. Tere has a 13 year old son that happily occupies
the rest of her time.
Genealogical Publications/ Affiliations/ Projects: Ms. O’Connell and her
mother are researching
their family tree and have traced 6 generations of their Irish heritage
in the United States
from Annapolis Maryland, St. Louis Missouri, Carthage and Dallas, Texas.
