This cemetery is named for the Seaton family who owned the land that surrounds it. This land is currently owned by Dr. V. H. Shoultz. Catherine Seaton, wife of J. B. Seaton, is the only Seaton grave marked as such, although several unmarked field stones exist in the cemetery. Robert Franklin "Bob" Kelton was one of the earliest settlers in the Eula community, where he is listed in the 1880 Census. He died of a fever at age 35 on November 14, 1888, and is buried in Seaton Cemetery (there being no Eula Cemetery at that time). The location of his grave has been lost, but his name is on a Kelton Family Monument in the Sweetwater Cemetery, where his wife Fannie was buried in 1925.

This list is provided by Georgia Shipman Yawn from walk-through of the cemetery with Jan Burleson Loper and Ru Burleson Jones on April 28, 2005. There are 106 marked graves in this cemetery, the earliest grave being that of W. J. Mask in 1880 and the latest grave being that of Jane Aten Chapel in 1975. There may be earlier graves marked with field stones; however, no information is available. There is a double headstone for Dr. Shoultz and his wife who are still living. Our deepest appreciation to Georgia Yawn for making this burial list available as a free service to the public.
