20 Dec 1906 -Continued Guardianship of Blanch Chipman

Next entry on page 20, continues the "Welfare of John Erkel Mobley, Blanch Mobley and Stella Mobley".
Blanch Chipman was made Permanent Guardian on 18 Feb 1907. William Mobley, a self-professed minister of the "Gospel Army" did, in fact, abandon his children after their mother died. He remarried and died in California in March of 1942. The three Mobley children were lovingly raised by their uncle & aunt, Ezra and Blanche Joiner Chipman, who had no children of their own, and considered the Mobley children as theirs. John Erkel Mobley married Rose Sweeny, had five children, and died in Harris County, Texas in 1982. Stella Mobley married Emil Rugh, had one daughter, and died in Bell County, Texas in 1988. Blanche Mobley married Rupert Martin, had three children, and died in Louisiana in 2001.
