On Tuesday the Death Angel visited our community and removed from our midst a well known and highly esteemed citizen, Robert W. Gray, who resided on the ranch of his son, Chas. Gray. For some time Mr. Gray had been a sufferer, and had been confined to his bed. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. G. T. Hester, pastor of the Bandera Methodist church, and interment was made in Bandera cemetery yesterday morning.

Robert W. Gray was born in Mississippi June 26, 1852, and was therefore 78 years of age. He came to Bandera county with his family about thirty years ago. Besides his wife he is survived by eight children; Charles Gray of Bandera, Luke Gray of Center Point, Mrs. Lula Smith of Goliad, Alfred Gray of Goliad, Mrs. Estelle Lackey of Cross Plains, Bob Gray of Bandera, Miss Nellie Gray of Bandera and Mrs. Lon Joiner of Bandera. All of the children were present except three who were unable to come.

The New Era extends condolence and sympathy to the bereaved wife and children in their sorrow over the loss of the devoted husband and father.
