Bandera County TXGenWeb
Sunset Mountain Cemetery

Need Volunteer to locate and photograph these graves
Help figure out a mystery.
This map shows Bandera at the Bottom and Sunset Moutain at the top.
A cemetery is described as being : "On the Alba Storms Ranch....over by Sunset Mountain, across a deep gully inside a fence."
Alba Storms family is buried in Medina's OakRest some distance from this location. His wife was a McKinney.
In this un-named "McKinney Cemetery? Reed Cemetery?" Two are known buried there;

Mother -McKinney, Elizabeth Ann Reed   Oct 15,1832-.. Feb,1920 , wife of John McKinney . (earlier list has Reed as her last name, see list below)
Daughter- McKinney, Malarda Elizabeth   May 3,1871-Sep 17,1935, She was the dau. of Elizabeth Ann Reed and John McKinney.

    Were these graves moved? Are they still marked?
    Can anyone find them and take a photo? Does the cemetery
    contain more graves ? or is it known by a name?

    Who were the two women, any biographical info?
    please email to help.

See 1971 list below
This list was compiled about 1971, permission given in 2002
I received a copy for upload also, which many thanks, from Lois Smith
