Mr. Will Maas Sr. and his son Charley*
Whitley Infant.
*This is probably the grave of William Julius Maass, born about 1821 in Prussia. The 1880 United States Federal census for Bandera County shows his household consisting of himself, his wife Charlotte (Oelze)(born abt 1839 in Prussia) and their children: William (1864), Albert (abt 1868), Charley (abt 1870), Helena (abt 1875) and Albertina (abt 1877). Since William, Sr., Charlotte and Charley do not appear in the 1900 Federal Census, it appears that they died between 1880-1900. The burial place of Charlotte Oelze Maass is unknown as of the date of this writing. Son William Jr. and his family do appear in the 1900 census in Bandera County, where William and his wife Elizabeth lived until their deaths.
