Loya Cemetery on Bear Creek

Location: From Main Street in Bandera, Texas, take Hwy 16S heading East toward Pipe Creek for 6.1 miles to Bear Creek Rd., turn left and travel 4.5 miles. The cemetery is to the right and is accessed through a cattle pasture easement between two ranches. The gate to the easement is off the road, down an enbankment, about 50 feet and runs alongside a large red barn. "The land in this area used to be owned by Blas Loya who was an early Bandera County Pioneer." Information from Scott Miller (scottymiller@att.net)
